I just spent the last few hours playing Gear Race Car Game and I've got to say, it's been a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I love the idea of a game that lets me customize and upgrade my own cars, and the racing mechanics are actually pretty solid. The graphics are decent too, the tracks look nice and the cars are well detailed. But on the other hand, there are some things that really took me out of the experience.

First of all, the AI can be super annoying at times. I've been in races where I'm doing perfectly fine, and then out of nowhere some AI car will just ram into me and send me spinning. It's not like I'm being aggressive or anything, I'm just trying to get around the track, and then suddenly I'm facing the wrong direction. It's frustrating, because it feels like the game is cheating me out of a good position. And it's not just that, sometimes the AI will just brake way too late and I'll end up crashing into them, it's like they're not even trying to avoid me.

Another thing that's been bugging me is the lack of variety in the tracks. I mean, I've only played the game for a few hours, but I've already seen the same tracks like three or four times. I know it's not a huge game, but I would have expected a bit more diversity in the tracks. It's not like it's a huge deal or anything, but it's just something that would make the game more interesting. The cars on the other hand, are pretty cool, there's a good selection and you can customize them to your heart's content.

The customization options are actually one of the highlights of the game for me. I love being able to tweak my car to get the best performance out of it, and the upgrade system is pretty straightforward. You earn money by racing and then you can use that money to upgrade your car, it's simple but effective. The only thing that's a bit annoying is that the upgrades can be a bit expensive, so you have to do a lot of racing to get the money you need. But overall, the customization options are definitely a strong point of the game.

One thing that I do want to mention is that the game can be a bit repetitive. I mean, it's a racing game, so you're going to be doing a lot of the same thing over and over again. But sometimes it feels like I'm just going through the motions, you know? I'll be racing along, and then I'll start to feel like I've done this exact same thing before, and it's just not as exciting as it was the first time. I think this is something that a lot of racing games struggle with, but it's still worth mentioning.

Overall, I'd say that Gear Race Car Game is a decent but not amazing game. It's got some good points, like the customization options and the solid racing mechanics, but it's also got some drawbacks, like the annoying AI and the lack of track variety. If you're a huge racing fan, you might get some enjoyment out of this game, but if you're just looking for something to play casually, you might want to look elsewhere. I'm going to keep playing it for now, but I'm not sure if I'll be sticking with it for the long haul.
