I just spent the last hour playing Animal Merge: Zoo Drop and I'm not gonna lie, it's been a wild ride. I downloaded it on a whim, thinking it would be a relaxing little game to chill out with, and while it's definitely been fun, it's also been kinda frustrating at times. The concept is pretty simple - you've got a grid where animals start falling from the top, and you've got to merge them to create new, more evolved creatures. Sounds easy, right? Well, it's not always as straightforward as it sounds.

One thing I do love about this game is the graphics. The animals are all adorable, and the animations are really cute. I mean, who doesn't love a good cartoon giraffe or zebra? The zoo setting is also pretty well done, with all the different enclosures and obstacles to navigate. It's clear the devs put a lot of thought into the visuals, and it pays off. But, as I said, the gameplay can be a bit wonky at times. Sometimes the animals just seem to fall in the worst possible places, and you're left scrambling to try and merge them before they overwhelm the grid.

Now, I'm not gonna lie, I've gotten pretty addicted to this game. There's something about the merge mechanic that just gets under your skin, and before you know it, you've been playing for hours. The levels are all pretty short, which is great for a casual game like this, and the rewards for completing them are pretty satisfying. You can collect all sorts of different animals, and even decorate your own zoo, which is a nice touch. But, the problem is, it starts to get repetitive after a while. You're doing the same thing over and over again, and it can get a bit dull.

I've also noticed that the game can be a bit aggressive with the ads. I mean, I get it, devs gotta make money somehow, but it feels like every other level, there's a commercial popping up. It's not the end of the world, but it can be a bit annoying. And, of course, there are the in-app purchases. Look, I'm not against paying for a game or some in-game items, but it feels like the prices are a bit steep. I mean, I'm not gonna drop real money on a virtual zoo, no matter how cute the animals are.

Despite all my griping, I'm still gonna keep playing Animal Merge: Zoo Drop. It's just one of those games that's easy to pick up and put down, you know? And, who knows, maybe I'll even start to enjoy it more as I get further into it. The devs seem to be updating it pretty regularly, so maybe they'll address some of my complaints in the future. Until then, I'll just keep on merging those animals and trying to build the best zoo I can.

Overall, I'd say Animal Merge: Zoo Drop is a solid, if not spectacular, game. It's not gonna win any awards or anything, but it's a fun little time-waster that's perfect for killing a few minutes (or hours) here and there. If you're a fan of merge games or just looking for something casual to play, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot. Just be prepared for some frustration and ad-watching, and you'll be all set.
