Dinosaur City Hunting Destroy Review & Gameplay Guide
I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty hyped to dive into Dinosaur City Hunting Destroy. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of running around a city filled with dinosaurs, guns blazing, and wreaking havoc? The concept sounded amazing, and I was expecting a fun, action-packed experience. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived. As soon as I started playing, I realized that the game was plagued by some serious issues.
First off, the graphics are subpar. I'm not expecting AAA quality or anything, but the textures and models look like they're straight out of a PS2 game. The dinosaurs, which should be the main attraction, look more like cardboard cutouts than living, breathing creatures. The city itself is also pretty bland, with generic buildings and a serious lack of detail. It's a shame, because with a bit more polish, the game could've looked really cool. As it stands, it's just kinda...ugly.
The gameplay isn't much better, sadly. The controls feel clunky and unresponsive, making it difficult to aim or move around the city. The guns all feel the same, and the dinosaurs are more like targets to shoot at than actual creatures to hunt. I mean, I've played games with better AI in the past, and it's frustrating to see the dinosaurs just standing around, waiting to be shot. There's no real challenge or strategy involved - it's just a mindless shooting gallery. And don't even get me started on the sound design, which is basically non-existent. The guns sound like toys, and the dinosaurs make these weird, cartoonish noises that are more annoying than intimidating.
I will say that the game has some potential, though. I like the idea of hunting different types of dinosaurs, and the city could be a really cool environment to explore if it was more fleshed out. But as it stands, the game feels like a rough draft or a proof-of-concept rather than a fully realized experience. I'd love to see the devs go back to the drawing board and rework the game from the ground up, because I think there's a really cool game hidden somewhere in here. Until then, though, I'd say avoid Dinosaur City Hunting Destroy unless you're a die-hard dino fan or just looking for something to mindlessly shoot at for a few hours.
One thing that really gets my goat is the lack of replay value. Once you've completed the "story" (if you can even call it that), there's really nothing left to do. No multiplayer, no leaderboards, no nothing. You just kinda...stop playing, and that's it. I mean, I've seen mobile games with more replay value than this, and it's just disappointing to see a game with such a cool concept fall so flat. Maybe the devs will add some more content in the future, but for now, it's just a shallow, forgettable experience.
Overall, I'd say Dinosaur City Hunting Destroy is a skippable game. Unless you're really, really into dinosaurs or just looking for something to play for a few hours, there are better games out there. The game's got some cool ideas, but it's just not well-executed, and it feels like a waste of potential. Maybe someday we'll get a game that really delivers on the promise of hunting dinosaurs in a city, but for now, this one's just a disappointment.
