Go monkey & Banana Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last hour playing Go Monkey & Banana and I have to say, it's a pretty decent time killer. The gameplay is simple, you control a monkey who's trying to collect bananas while avoiding obstacles, it's not really anything new or groundbreaking but it's fun in short bursts. The controls are responsive and the graphics are colorful and cute, I especially love the little monkey's animations, they're really well done.

My main issue with the game is that it gets repetitive pretty quickly, I mean, how many times can you collect bananas and avoid enemies before it starts to feel like you're doing the same thing over and over. The levels are all pretty similar, with the same obstacles and enemies, and the only thing that really changes is the layout of the level. I wish there were more power-ups or maybe even a multiplayer mode to mix things up a bit.

Despite the repetition, I did find myself getting pretty invested in trying to get the highest score possible. The game has a leaderboard system, so you can compare your scores to other players, and it's always satisfying to see yourself climb the ranks. The game also has a few achievements that you can unlock, which adds a bit of replay value. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get all of them, but it's definitely something to work towards.

One thing that I found really annoying was the ads, oh man, the ads. They pop up after almost every level, and sometimes even in the middle of a level, which is really frustrating. I get that the game is free, and the developers need to make money somehow, but it feels like they're being a bit too aggressive with the ads. I'd be happy to pay a few bucks to get rid of them, but as it stands, it's just something you have to deal with.

Overall, I'd say Go Monkey & Banana is a solid, if unremarkable, mobile game. It's not going to win any awards for originality or depth, but it's a fun way to pass the time, and it's free, so you can't really go wrong. If you're looking for a simple, casual game to play on your commute or during a break, this might be worth checking out. Just be prepared for the ads, and don't expect too much in terms of variety or challenge.

I'm not sure how much more time I'll spend playing Go Monkey & Banana, but I'll probably pick it up every now and then to try and beat my high score. It's just one of those games that's easy to come back to, you know, it's not demanding, and it's just a fun, mindless way to spend a few minutes. If you're a fan of simple, arcade-style games, you might enjoy it, but if you're looking for something with a bit more substance, you might want to look elsewhere.
