Mr Tomato VS Zombies Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few hours playing Mr Tomato VS Zombies and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, the name of the game is pretty ridiculous, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay is actually pretty similar to Plants vs Zombies, which is one of my favorite mobile games of all time. You've got your standard tower defense setup, where you're placing different types of plants (or in this case, tomatoes) to take down waves of zombies.

One thing that I really like about Mr Tomato VS Zombies is the sheer amount of variety in the game. There are tons of different types of tomatoes to unlock, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. Some of them are super powerful and can take down multiple zombies at once, while others are more specialized and can only be used in certain situations. It's actually pretty cool to see how the different tomatoes interact with each other, and figuring out the best combinations to use in each level is a big part of the game's challenge.

The graphics and sound design in Mr Tomato VS Zombies are also top-notch. The game has a really cute and colorful art style that's reminiscent of Plants vs Zombies, but with its own unique twist. The zombies are all super goofy and over-the-top, and the tomatoes are all really well-designed and memorable. The music is also really catchy and upbeat, and it adds a lot to the game's overall atmosphere. One thing that did get a little annoying after a while was the sound effects - the zombies' groaning and moaning can get a bit repetitive and grating after a while.

As for the difficulty level, I'd say that Mr Tomato VS Zombies starts out pretty easy, but gets progressively harder as you progress through the levels. The early levels are a breeze, and you can get through them without too much trouble, but as you get further in, the zombies start to get tougher and more numerous, and you'll need to use all of your skills and strategies to take them down. I did find that the game got a bit frustrating at times - there were a few levels where I got stuck and had to repeat them multiple times before I could finally beat them. But overall, I think the difficulty level is pretty well-balanced, and it's challenging without being overwhelming.

One thing that I'm a bit disappointed about is the lack of a multiplayer mode. I think it would be really cool to be able to play against other players, either competitively or cooperatively, and it would add a whole new layer of replayability to the game. As it is, the game is still pretty fun, but it's mostly a solo experience. I'm also not a huge fan of the in-app purchases - the game is free to download, but you can buy in-game currency and other items with real money. I'm not sure if I'd ever actually spend money on the game, but it's nice to have the option.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend Mr Tomato VS Zombies to anyone who's a fan of tower defense games or just looking for a fun and lighthearted mobile game to play. It's got a lot of personality and charm, and the gameplay is really addictive and engaging. While it's not perfect, and there are a few things that I'd like to see changed or added, I think it's a really solid game that's worth checking out. And who knows, you might just find yourself getting hooked and playing it for hours on end like I did.
